Sweet potato and broccoli, babyfood

  • Small sweet potato
  • 100g broccoli
  • 1 tbsp unsalted organic butter
  • About 120ml breast milk, organic formula or simply water


  1. Wash and peel the sweet potato and broccoli.
  2. Cut the sweet potato and the broccoli into bite-sized chunks.
  3. Steam the sweet potato for about 10–15 minutes, depending on the size of the chunks (they are done when you can stick a fork quite lightly through them).
  4. Steam the broccoli as well for about 10–15 minutes and remember to steam the tough stalks for around 5 minutes longer.
  5. Purée everything with the butter, adding more if necessary, and the milk.

  • ♥ This keeps in your fridge for around 2 days and in the freezer for around 2 months.
  • ♥ Babyfood that has come in contact with saliva you better throw out or better yet eat leftovers yourself. Bacteria from the mouth spoils food quickly. Always follow good hygiene rules when making and storing food. I recommend storing babyfood in clean closed glass jars.
