Cook Time: 0 mins
Yields: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 tbsp Goji berries (I soaked mine for around 10 minutes first in around 2 tbsp of water)
  • 1 tsp - tbsp Chia seeds (start with 1 tsp)

Method

  1. Wash the pear and peel it.
  2. Blend together the pear and the Goji berries along with the water they were soaked in.
  3. Blend in the Chia seeds and let sit for around 8 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve. I love this puree dearly myself!

Additional Info

♥ What are Goji berries? Goji berries, also known as Chinese wolfberries, are renowned in Asia as one of the nature's most nutrient-rich foods. They are a true superfood for everybody to enjoy. They contain the 18 amino acids, the building blocks of protein, including all eight that are essential for life.

They contain 21 trace minerals, more carotene than carrots and high levels of vitamin-C. They also contain vitamin-E and B-complex vitamins as well as essential fatty acids and solavetivone, a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compound.

The Goji berries are filled with powerful antioxidants and other compounds that may help prevent cancer and other illnesses, including heart diseases. Antioxidants may also boost the immune system and lower cholesterol. That is why I also recommend organic carrot juice for babies after 1 year old to drink (just a small glass) most days.

♥ When you have soaked Goji berries for 10 minutes or so they are also a wonderful finger food. I recommend buying dried fruits without sulfur dioxide. More on sulfur dioxide
