Almond milk

♥ I use organic almonds.

♥ From my book; What should I feed my baby?
Almonds are a true superfood. They are packed with calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, protein, iron, essential fat, Vitamin-E, Vitamin-B and niacin. My life is better since I started eating almonds and feeding them and almond milk to my family.

When our body is well nourished from pure, whole (not processed!), organic foods that contain good fats and protein, we eat less because we need less. This is something that happens automatically.

When you are lacking good fats, protein and other nutrients you much rather overeat since your body and brain are always giving you signs, saying that you need to eat more (because they need the essential nutrients they are lacking). RawSolla taught me to make almond milk so many years ago, bless her ♥

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 0 mins
Yields: 2-3

Ingredients

  • 50g almonds (soaked over night in cold water at room temperature or for around 10 hours)
  • 2-3 dates, 5-8 mulberries (or 1 date and 6-8 drops organic liquid Via-Health vanilla stevia - both optional!
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 400ml cold fresh water

Method

  1. Rinse your almonds in a colander or sieve under cold running water.
  2. Put everything in the recipe in your blender and blend highspeed until very smooth and "milk" like.
  3. Keep this in an airtight glass bottle for no longer than 2 days.

Additional Info

♥ You can use almond milk to puree fruits for your baby from 8-9 months for example.

♥ I use my almond milk as a base for chocolate milk & other smoothies.

♥ You can also give your baby after 8-9 months a small glass to drink every now and then but then you have to sieve it for sure. You can sieve your milk (see video) in a fine strainer or milk nut bag. Or you can peel your almonds, which is very easy once they have been soaked.
