I love stevia and use it in my organic yoghurt as well as smoothies. It makes everything taste like a desert.
I also use it in my cakes and deserts along with organic coconut palm sugar, honey, dates and/or maple syrup.

Being disabled
Haflidi, almost 10 years old, is my son. I knew when I was 20 weeks pregnant that Haflidi would be born without legs. Not knowing what this would mean for his future, my husband and I were worried and confused. When we returned home after the ultrasound appointment, we googled 'double amputee' and up came a video of Oscar Pistorius, running in the Olympics in Athens. I cannot begin to explain what a relief that was; knowing that not only would my son be able to walk, he would also be able to ...

My disabled perfect son, Haflidi
Recently, Haflidi has found it more and more difficult to go swimming and take his prosthetics off where there are children that don't know him. He is stared at a lot, some are curious and ask him a lot of questions and others tell him that his stumps look disgusting or they cannot look at him/them because it's all so weird. This is all very understandable but I thought that it might be a good idea to put a photo of him here, so that those who see the photo could perhaps show their children/g...
Just a quick
.. note, reminding you of telling your children very often:
1. That you love them just the way they are.
2. That you are always on their side.
3. That they can always confide in you, you are there for them, you can always help them (even though they can't see how) because you are older and wiser :)
4. That they are beautiful and kind, brave and strong.
5. That they should give thanks, before they go to sleep, for all the good things they have and then make a wish, because wishes ...
Cyberbully the movie
Dear parents .. friends.
I've just watched this movie with my children and I recommend it to all families where there are kids that have started using instragram, Facebook, etc.
It creates basis for great discussions, very much needed.
I also think it is important to explain to children that their internet history is written by them. It will be possible to dig up everything said and done (if somebody really wants to) later in life. So better to have used kind words and not the opposi...
Sorry
Dear friends .. parents ♥
It happens to most of us once in a while, that we are impatient and/or unfair to our children. It means we are human. We can be very tired, under a lot of stress, etc. But if, or when, that happens, it is very important to say we are sorry to our children. Of course we should all try not to do things we have to say we are sorry for. But if.., say sorry and mean it, give a warm hug and a kiss, explain that mum/dad was tired, worried or whatever. Simplify ...
Happy new year!
Dear all of you, each and everyone of you out there ... with all my heart I wish you a happy & wonderful new year! May all your sweet dreams come true!
With much love ♥

Christmas is coming ..
Christmas is coming and so I wanted to say to all parents out there; try to relax and enjoy. Listen to christmas carols and light a candle maybe .. The Christmas joy and spirit is in our heart if we give ourselves time to feel and enjoy it without the worry and anxiety about everything that has to be done .. or bought. Just do what is right for you, let nobody convince you what you or your children need for Christmas to be enjoyable or memorable. Our children will love the Christmas in ...
Friends!
If your children are shy or do not have many friends, it is a great idea to encourage them to invite friends over & make it clear that their friends are always welcome into your house. And if they are too shy to invite themselves, you can help them out, talk to the parent's of the friends they like and invite them home to play. I believe, it makes our children much stronger (socially) in school if they can deepen & strengthen their friendship at home in a safe place ... And a ...
