Goji berries, also known as Chinese wolfberries are renowned in Asia as one of nature’s most nutrient-rich foods. They are a true superfood for everybody to enjoy. They contain the 18 amino acids, the building blocks of protein, including all eight that are essential for life. They contain 21 trace minerals, more carotene than carrots and high levels of vitamin-C. They also contain vitamin-E and B-complex vitamins as well as essential fatty acids and solavetivone, a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compound. The Goji berries are filled with powerful antioxidants as well and other compounds that may help prevent cancer and other illnesses, including heart diseases. Antioxidants may also boost the immune system and lower cholesterol. That is why I recommend organic carrot juice for babies after 1 year old to drink (just a small glass) most days (for the immune system! 🙂
