Soft boiled eggs

Soft boiled eggs are such a lovely, simple, quick and easy to make health food. Organic eggs are loaded with nutrients and even more so when less cooked (and more delicious I find!).

Organic soft boiled eggs contain for example quality protein, healthy fats, iron, Vitamin A and D.

I often enjoy 2 soft boiled eggs for breakfast.

♥ Organic eggs means that the laying hens have access to the outdoors and get to roam around freely (not in cages) with enough space and lay their eggs in a nest. Their feed is organic (NOT some GMO maize) and organic egg producers cannot use antibiotics except during an infectious outbreak. Only natural molting can occur within the flock. Organic certifications also requires maintenance of basic animal welfare standards.

My Recipe

Prep Time: 0 mins
Cook Time: 6 mins
Yields: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 organic eggs
  • Himalayasalt or seasalt

Method

  1. Boil water in a small saucepan
  2. When the water is boiling add your eggs gently with a spoon and lower the heat
  3. After 6 minutes (6 and a half if the eggs are big) turn down the heat, take the saucepan of the stove and let cold water run into the saucepan to cool down the eggs. I place the saucepan in the sink.
  4. Enjoy your eggs with a little bit of seasalt or himalayasalt
