Here you have guidelines to help you out regarding when you can start feeding your baby different kinds of healthy foods.

This is not carved in stone .. it’s merely a guideline that might also help parents remember to feed their baby something healthy that they are not used to eating themselves 🙂

If you start giving your baby solids around 4 months old you can still start giving the foods in the 6 month column. No worries! 🙂

To be able to monitor if your baby as an allergic reaction to specific types of food it is best to introduce one new food/flavor at a time. In other words, you feed your baby one new type of food every day for 4-5 days and then you can introduce the next one. You feed your baby that food (and maybe the food you have already tried) for the next 4-5 days after that and on it goes just like that.

It is quite clever to try at least one new food every week because it is of course best when we eat a variety of foods. That means variety in nutrition since each and every food is unique.

As a mother of two I recommend parents to use the time well from 6 months to 16 months and introduce as much as possible of healthy foods to try and lay a good foundation in eating habits for the future and also to try to combat fussiness when it comes to eating.
